Session 1: “Winter Solstice Check-in”:

In this session we explore the element of water and its association with winter and the Kidney/ Urinary Bladder meridian/organ pair.
This period represents the sinking energy we feel at this time. It is the most ‘yin’ of all the seasons. The time where we are afforded the opportunity to slow down and take deep rest in order for our energy to be replenished and preserved.

From a Chinese medical perspective balanced kidney energy relates to wisdom and trust in yourself; an ability to deals with stress as well as the ability to let things go. In imbalance can bring about a sense of fear and self-doubt and a lack of focus.
Coinciding with the winter solstice, the afternoon will be a time to look inward and reconnect with ourselves as we move forward into the next half of the year.



Winter Solstice Check-in

This Session is part of a series where each workshop can be attended individually.

Taoist studies of nature theorised that the human body encompasses the 5 elements found in the natural world. These include water, fire, wood, earth and metal. Each of these elements corresponds to a Yin/Yang organ meridian pair and therefore behaves on an energetic level when in or out of balance.
