Home of Yoga Meditation Day: An Urban Retreat

In a era of information saturation and contraction of time where our minds and bodies are accustomed to short waiting times and filling the spaces of our lives with technology and sound, to balance our lives we need to prioritise giving our selves the space to sense our own beingness and explore our relationship to silence.
Our intention with the Home of Yoga The Mindful Home devoted to meditation is to build a community of persons who would like to regularly attend both Urban and Nature retreats where we immerse ourselves in moments of silence.
It is popular now for music to predominate in the yoga space as well and I love it! There is the risk however of adding to the phenomena many of us are finding where it hard now to embrace moments of silence, just as we loose the ability to rest deeply into our bodies and the present moment if the daily space for this is not created.

In our meditation sessions we will explore a range of practices that are both nurturing, playful and embracing of silence. How the day shapes will depend on who comes and the feel and need of the day!
Whiles future longer retreats will includes silent days for this Nectar of Silence : Meditation Session we will immerse in silence and there may be spaces of sharing and some music – just so your know what to expect.

Together as an intentional community we support each other in practising mindful awareness. Through regular practice at home and as a group we can find a more peaceful place inside from where to build on our inner strengths and navigate the challenges of today’s world with more resilience, kindness and compassion.
Mindfulness practice can help you to feel more spaciousness in your day, reduce stress, go with the flow and rediscover a sense of wonder with life. Curious? Mindfulness is an essential skill for navigating the ups and downs of life and emotions that can for all of us be overwhelming at times. Mindfulness practice is not a fix and does not give answers. It does however help you move from the zone of automatic so many of us gravitate to.
Regular practice reduces stress, helps us to experience life from a wider perspective, and strengthens our ability to discern and problem solve. We begin to taste life, wonder, play, love and gratitude more fully and cultivate a whole new relationship with life.
Be part of a Mindful Living Community: This program is intended to facilitate a shared experience in mindful living where participants support each other in their journey. The facilitator Sydel Weinstein shares information, resources, personal experience and provides a loving context.
